Registered Federal Contractors Approved to Perform Shoreline Restoration for US Government Agencies
If it makes any difference, we’re Registered Federal Contractors.
No, that doesn’t mean we make anti-aircraft missiles or that our lobbyists bilk the American taxpayer.
It does mean our parent company, Palumbo Services, Inc, has passed many layers of scrutiny and that Uncle Sam puts some trust in us to do a good job. We had already built DNR-compliant shorelines many years before getting SAM-registered, so we didn’t need to change anything about our handiwork.
Mostly it was just a lot of paperwork to show our business, accounting, HR, and workplace-safety practices. You don’t want to know how much paperwork, how much money, and how many years it took to become approved “vendors,” and we’d just as soon not relive the ordeal.
It is a little feather in our caps, though. Last we checked, none of the putative shoreline-restoration companies around here has that kind of skin in the game. Certainly not Louie the one-truck landscaper.
Our SAM-registered status doesn’t cost you any extra. The perfect riprap shoreline, boat ramp, lakefront staircase, restored stormwater basin, restored drainage ditch, or wastewater treatment pond isn’t any cheaper than before, but it’s not more expensive, and it still pays for itself (plus some) in all the ways that count.
We assume you’re like us: a homeowner in the Midwest who just enjoys spending time on the water, and who needs to protect your property and all you’ve invested in it. Or you may be the owner of or responsible for a commercial property. In case you’re with the federal, state, or local government, you’ve just found a shoreline contractor who likely can do what you need, and do it by the book.
In any case, if you’ve got a shoreline that needs work, it’s impossible to find work that’s better than Lakeshore Guys®’ work, and our customers have brought the receipts. A little guy named Uncle Sam seems to think we’re all right, too.
Contact Lakeshore Guys® to discuss how we can make your shoreline the finest one this side of the Swamp.
